We owe it to them

You and I have an obligation. We have lived a fairly long time. We have learned a lot both by doing and by not doing. We have accumulated a lot of wisdom and we owe it to our world to pass it along.

It’s called leaving our legacy.

What have you learned that you want to pass forward? What is that passion you still hanker to fulfill? Whatever your age, now is the time to honor who you have become and share it with others.

I don’t believe in retirement. I believe we all want to be productive and feel we are contributing. I’m just suggesting we get cracking and make it happen.

Your second business

You can start your second business even before you leave your first one. Look at your hobbies. Look at what people continually ask you for. Look at what you’d like to learn next. Those are your guideposts to your second business.

A 25 year old professional cyclist has come into my life. He can cycle for another ten years or so. I asked him what he saw for his future after that. His passion is so deep that he already knew it centered around a bike shop or cycling. But there are so many other things that might show up around his passion if he keeps open to them.

My 60 year old son-in-law has been a high school teacher all his life. He is great at it and loves young people. He also likes computers. I’ve been talking to him about the many ways he can package his knowledge and turn it into passive income.

Whatever your scenario, pull out your vision and create a business plan to make it happen.

The Digital World

Because of the internet everyone can write an ebook and make it available. Because of the internet we can now reach clients and customers all over the world. The potentials are boundless, the opportunities to be in service enormous, and the potential for passive income impressive.

How to fashion your “next”

Write down the things you love to do. Start looking for places those passions and skills can be in service. Look at products you can create or teleclasses you can teach that will add interest and satisfaction to your life. It’s never too late to get your Second Wind!

On Becoming 75

I’m a few weeks away from being 75 and never have I been happier, more fulfilled or more excited about how my life is unfolding. My business is growing, my reputation for being good at what I do is increasing, and new and exciting opportunities continue to come my way.

My plan is to go for at least 114 so I have plenty of time to make all sorts of things happen.

You have to have a purpose

I don’t know what I would do with my days if I weren’t constantly learning and exploring and creating something. And the lives I touch! It’s so thrilling to help people recognize and establish their own uniqueness on the internet. I love it when I help someone write an information product that gives them not only pride in their knowledge but brings them passive income as well. And every time a client needs to know something I don’t know, I get to go learn it!!!! That’s great fun too.

When you touch lives, you are touched.

Resurrect an old passion

What is it that you used to love to do that you put aside for other responsibilities? Get out that passion, dust it off, and play with it again. The beautiful thing about being older is that we know so much that we have great insights to pass along. Whether you wanted to write poetry or a play, or whether you wanted to be a baseball star, go find people with similar passions and play with them.

Don’t judge yourself

Create and participate for the joy of creating and participating. The outcome is only a part of it. The doing contains the excitement. Be productive. Notice how and where you contribute. The enthusiasm of your showing up is a gift unto itself. Don’t judge the outcome, celebrate the process!

It’s never too late

Wherever you are in your life. Whatever shape you are in, there is always a way to contribute and receive great satisfaction in return. My passion is creating information products on the internet and helping people create their own information products. What do you know that you could pass forward? What could you teach? What do you want to learn how to do that you now have time for? Every day should be filled with passionate moments filled with satisfaction.

You can do that—whatever your age. Just start.
